Dr. Finelli's current research concerns the interaction between the organism and its physical environment at different spatial scales. His research seeks to answer questions about physiology, behavior and ecology by examining a variety of habitats and species. Dr. Finelli's most recent research includes; bio irrigation of sedimentary environments by burrowing shrimp, photosynthesis in corals, and chemosensory of blue crabs and other invertebrates and planktivory by coral reef fishes.
